What 24 years have taught me…

Good evening friends!

I know it’s been a while, but I’ve been thinking of you lots and getting excited about sharing different parts of my life with all of you. This summer has been so wonderful thus far and I’ve been just trying to dive into life and enjoy. I’ve truly been bouncing all around, between work, family, friends and just life I haven’t sat down very much; and that’s the way I like it. I’ve learned a lot, both about myself and the world around me and I want to share some of my summer and lessons through pictures (thanks, iPhone)!

Go to the beach, feel the sunshine, and wear SPF 30!! And definitely bring a friend and a great book, currently reading The Help.

Go green. Get out there and appreciate nature, in all of it’s beautiful greenery and a gorgeousness. Breathe it in and let it fill you up, it’s the good stuff πŸ™‚

Stop and smell and savor the flowers, and all the beauty around you; they will make you appreciate life that much more.

Have a little fun, it’s good for you!

Experience something you’ve never done before, Boston Fireworks on the 4th!

Appreciate where you come from, I love my neighborhood’s annual Β 4th Parade!

Love and appreciate your family, you never know what life may bring. My aunt was in a head on collision with a drunk driver a few weeks ago. She has two broken legs and is wheelchair bound for a few months, but she is alive and well and we are all so blessed by her life.

Believe in something, be it yourself or something much bigger. But take a moment to stand in awe and be grateful.

Slow down and have a laugh at life, sometimes it’s just that funny πŸ™‚

A change of scenery can do wonderful things for you! Homework for summer classes is much better spent outdoors!

Let someone show you they care, it feels good πŸ™‚

Act a little bit crazy, even if just for a great photo op πŸ™‚

Love your siblings, they’re the only ones you’ve got!

Surround yourself with great friends, it makes life that much better!

Have a little shop therapy, if it makes you feel good and doesn’t ruin your budget.

Do something that makes you feel strong, because you already are, you just got to know it!

That’s all for now. More regular posting should start up soon but in the mean time I’d love to hear some of the lessons you’ve learned!

Have a great night everyone!

lots of love,

Em

And isn’t instagram awesome! Love that app. PS – The Help is awesome too. I can’t wait to see the movie. I hope they did a good job representing such an amazing book.
