Good Evening Friends,
As a Patriots fan, I have no problem blogging during the game…as long as I take breaks to watch all the commercials 🙂 I am back from a rejuvenating weekend in Maine full of skiing, eating, chatting, and relaxing. My wonderful aunt and uncle hosted us and kept us comfy, cozy, and very well fed. We arrived Friday night to a home cooked dinner Touche Pie (French pork-pie) and a big salad with avocados all the fixings. We all headed to bed pretty early because the next morning we wanted to hit the mountains hard!
We skied at Sugarloaf Mountain, my all-time favorite mountain (one of the biggest mountains in the east). I brought my camera out the first days and wanted to share some shots with all of you, enjoy!
First run, on our way up the lift!
The mountain range ahead is called The Sleeping Indian, can you see it?
Picking a trail for our first run!
Sugarloaf with the sun heading down
All bundled up 🙂
Bullwinkle’s Cabin–he’s the Moose Mascot of Sugarloaf
A sign hanging over Bullwinkle’s bed
The sun was really setting so we decided to call it a day. A weekday at the mountain means a whole lot of runs!
Apres ski spread of pita chips, crackers, hummus, baba ganoush, and cheeses. A glass of wine to wash it down 🙂
Dinner for our first night was steak tips and grilled chicken served with roasted asparagus and sweet potato oven fries. It was delicious!
That’s all for tonight, tomorrow I’ll show you some photos of my aunt’s house and pictures from our snow-shoeing expedition 🙂
Happy Superbowl Watching!!
lots of love,
Em
